Ari was born and raised in Texas. As a fashion obsessed youth, she grew up thrifting, sewing, and studying fashion magazines and the runways. Before completing her Fashion Merchandising degree at The University of North Texas, she worked and traveled abroad quite a bit, absorbing cosmopolitain and sophisticated styles, and all the art.
In the early 2000s, during the birth of online shopping, Ari co-created a successful online vintage clothing boutique and brand of directional, curated, and reconstructed vintage. Along with that came fashion editorials, a runway show, pop up shop, and experimental and experiental happenings in collaboration with avant garde cohorts such as K8 Hardy, Fischerspooner, Deitch Projects NYC, Beauty Bar NYC, Good/Bad Art Collective, The Polyphonic Spree Xmas Show, Perry Farrell, and Lalapalooza. Think multidimensional and interactive happenings, featuring live haircuts and garment creation, immersed in music and visual art. It was an incredibly fun way to experiment and realize her calling IRL, before social media.
In the late aughts, Ari put the brand on hiatus to focus on developing her style and voice with a fashion blog of collaborative fashion editorials and writings on contemporary fashion. She eventually hustled her way into the editorial and commercial Dallas photo industry, working with and learning from the best.
Ari was recruited by her main client, Neimans, and became the Internal Corporate Stylist as well as Model Caster & Booker for Neiman Marcus Catalog. She gained invaluable experience from her time in this role, working with art directors, buyers, high fashion houses, top models, agencies, and photographers. Her responsibilities included simultaneously casting, project managing, and styling entire catalogs, editorials, videos, and look books, from pre to post production. In addition to this, she maintained organization and seasonal updating of the fashion closet, consisting of prop wardrobe, shoes, and accessories. So she can definitely put some elevated looks together, multitask, and communicate effectively.
Since then, she has styled numerous locally and internationally published fashion editorials, in print and online. She’s worked on many successful branding, ecomm, video, look book, commercial, lifestyle, and social media projects for the likes of Neiman Marcus, Cusp, Bergdorf Goodman, Stanley Korshak, Fossil, Dickies, Vice Magazine, Polanski Magazine, and fashion world favorite, singer, Kelela.
Now, with 10 years of storytelling through images and honing her skills in the ever changing photo industry, Ari is an experienced, hardworking, resourceful, enthusiastic, and inspired contributor to any team or project.
